Everything for Colorado House Churches: Resources, Stories, Training, and more
Welcome! This is a website by and for Colorado house churches. We are telling the stories of what God has done and is doing through all of us around the state. Our dream is to see an organic church on every block in every neighborhood in Colorado. The more we work together and support one another, the sooner this dream can be realized. Enjoy the site and email us with any suggestions, stories, or articles to post!

John White, a member of the CHC community, recently had the privilege to speak with Felicity Dale of www.SimplyChurch.com on women in leadership of the church.  Below are the three videos that John published for their use.

Video 1 - Understanding the nature of church, who leaders were, and how to interpret scripture to see the leadership role of women in the church.

Video 2 - Using the “one-end-of-the-telephone” approach to understanding scriptural commands for the behavior of women in the church.

Video 3 - Women leaders of the early church, women as apostolic church leaders, and the excitement seeing women and men joined together in ministry.

A group of guys from among the many in the relational Colorado House Church Network discussing the idea that mission is a byproduct of listening. The discussion focused in on the idea that everyone has a mission or calling, but that it must be discovered by listening to God and then acting on what He says. Additionally, the myth that foreign missions are superior to those callings lived out on home soil is discussed and the idea that all mission that flows from listening is equal and powerful.

A GREAT story/testimony of mission (evangelism) flowing out of daily listening together to God among the members of a house church family. This church family in the Littleton, CO area of Denver explain how they heard the Lord speaking to them to bless a family most of them had never met during Christmastime last month, and the wonderful result! Keep your volume high – parts get a bit quiet.

As Featured 1/16/10 on the Colorado-based Stories From the Revolution blog on Daily Churches of Two (CO2’s).

What would seminary and leadership training look like done the “house church way?” Listen to co-founder Jan Cowles talk about “School on the Way.” It exists to train and release teachers for the purpose of equipping house churches for the spontaneous expansion of healthy homes of Jesus within walking distance of every person in Colorado. In this video, John White discusses how “ask the Lord of the harvest…to send out workers” became a prayer around which house church leaders united. The results? Well have a listen!

There is a group of leaders from house church networks around Colorado that meet monthly. It seemed good to us and to the Holy Spirit to begin to capture the stories of God’s hand at work. We would love to hear your feedback about these videos, or click “Contact Us” to tell us about stories we should get on tape!
